Hi all.

When playing with Outerra sometimes it happens that the driver crashes, and a Windows popup comes out saying that the AMD driver stopped responding and has restored.

Outerra uses OpenGL, and I know older catalyst versions had severe problems with it, so I guess it must be related to that. I don't really think it could be due to overheating or power failure, since it doesn't happen with other games.

I have an HD4850, and i run Windows7 32bit. I tried both catalyst 14.4 and14.6 beta, and it happens with both.

Thanks

Yeah. My 4890 on win7-64 bit with every driver for the last year has had horrible crashing while beta testing this.

Creator says it is a unique issue with the 4xxx series. I hope AMD take notice before Outerra gets popular.

Both of you need to report this to AMD:  http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D20B2F3EC4

Thanks stumped, I'll do that right away. I had searched for something like that, but i couldn't find it in the AMD site.

Submitted.

The fact that the 4000 series is out of the main list means it will likely be ignored.

No...because there is the 12.6 hotfix which is only for the 2xxx, 3xxx, and 4xxx cards. The report is for problems with 12.6 and 12.7 drivers..so you should be ok.

The reporting form link can be found here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
