while playing DXHR i noticed that the CCC wasn't reporting the correct temperatures. is this is a bug in the drivers?

i would believe   CCC  before  the  old version of  gpu-z  your running lol ,  (there's  8  newer versions  of gpu-z  then your using )

so why was CCC telling me it was 52°C when i know for certain that when gaming it gets to around 75°C and also it was @ 0% activity when i know for certain it's around 98% when gaming?

Did you look at temps after a gaming session or while gaming? Temps drop very fast when not busy.

When at the desktop my CCC shows 0% activity aswell.

If you want know the maximum data leave gpu-z open when gaming. From the dropdown boxes select "Show Highest reading". When you exit the game you will see the highest data reached. 

Get the latest GPU-Z   0.6.3
