hello!

I have a 23" monitor(1920x1080) on HD7870.

I want to buy a 29" monitor(2560x1080)

Can I play PCgames on 4480x1080 with eyefinity?

Can you explain this post?

The 29" display will drop its resolution down so that it is common among the 23" displays.  So assuming you want to do three display side-by-side, you'll only be looking at a Eyefinity Group Resolution of 5760x1080.  The 29" monitor's display will look all stretched.

So with the 4096x2160 @ 60 Hz per display.

If you had two monitors side by side it would be 8192x2160.

If you had four in 2x2 formation it would be 8192x4320.

And so on.....

That is if you had monitors that will work at 4096x2160 attached apropriately.

I think with the new R-series theoritically possible, but I am not sure if their is a max Eyefinity Group resolution  that is less than what the basic math of the combined display's resolutions would be (if that makes sense).

However, a colleague told me he played around with doing a 3x2 Eyefinity Group using six 4K displays on a top-teir R-series Radeon card.  The mouse was moving like mollasses.  Sllloowww.  Point being - you won't be having a good time gaming with such a monstrous Eyefinity resolution with a Radeon HD7800 series.
