I've just ordered a MSI R9 280x for a new build as I got such a good deal on it.

My issue is that when using my PC for work I've got two monitors I want to use. One has a DVI input and one only has a VGA input. On my current card (a 6870) I use its two DVI outputs one of which has a VGA to DVI adaptor on it.

With this new card will I be able to use the DVI output to connect to the VGA monitor and then use a HDMI to DVI cable to connect to the other monitor?

If that's not possible my back up idea is to stick in a older AMD graphics card I have, not crossfire but just use that to run the VGA monitor. Obviously that would require further power though.

Any help would be great thanks.
