For several years I have been using my triple screen setup. In the beginning, I have been experimenting a lot with my rig, but after a while I got so frustrated that I just left it as it was at the time and decided never to mess with it again. It took me all those years to realise there might be a more usefull approach to my issues then just relying on Google to get me the right information. That approach would be: ask someone on a specialised forum. Like this one for example. So I guess I have been very stupid, I should have posted this stuff on a forum 3 years ago. I hope you can forgive me if my questions are just as stupid.
Anyway; these are my problems:
1: I would like to run games on 3 screens all the time. Unfortunately, developpers of small, low-budget/indie titles (Like Call of Duty) can not allways find the time to make their games compatible with Eyefinity. So I would like to run them on a resolution of 1920*1080 instead. And that works, the game will use that resolution. But Eyefinity will then duplicate it 3 times and that really annoys me. I don't want to unplug monitors, for several obvious reasons; or disable my Eyefinity Display group, because that messes up the shortcuts on my desktop. Do you guys know a work-around that does not involve previously mentioned actions?
2: Stupid as I am, I cannot seem to figure out how I can configure Hydra Vision the way I want. I got as far as making the maximize button (between minimize and close) maximize windows of programs to 1 window. My HydraGrid was set up properly and programs remember their previous size when I restart them. I was quite happy about my achievements.
But then I closed a program window that I had just cleverly maximized to 1 screen with just one mouse click. A while later, I opened it again and it spanned across all 3 windows in a maximized mode. That is really annoying me because there is no useful information on the far left and far right of webpages and therfore I do not need my browser to show me that. So then I press the restore down and maximize again and it will maximize to 1 screen. These extra steps take time, I find my time costly and I would like to use it efficiently. I just want software to remember window position and size, regardless of whether it was maximized or not. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong? How do I set it up so that a maximized program opens on, say, the left screen, if it was on the left screen before I closed it?
