So, I have a AMD Radeon HD 6900 series and it supports up to 6 monitors. 4 DisplayPort, 2 DVI.

Ive always been using 2 monitors on DVI, and I never had any problems. I bought a new screen, and it had DVI on the back. I also bought a DVI to HDMI cable, and a HDMI to DisplayPort converter.

Now, I plugged everything together into my PC, so there is now 2 DVI's and 1 DisplayPort connected to my PC, but I can only use 2 screen at a time. I did some research on the internet, and I read you MUST have 1 DisplayPort connected to make EyeFinity work.

When I set up EyeFinity, It says I can have my layout as 2x1 or 1x2, but no 3x1 layout.

I am really confused. All the screens can be enabled, and they all work, but I can only enable 2 at a time. It also says I must have 1 DisplayPort connected.

Please Help ASAP,

Maxim Deprez (MxMCube)

I don't get why you adapted DVI to HDMI and then HDMI to DP.. in any case you need an ACTIVE adapter (Active DVI - DP), passive one won't work. Or if one of the monitor has DP input already, then you can skip the adapter and just get the right cable.
