I've been given the oportunity to build a 9 to 12 display wall, but I've been unable to find realiable information about a setup like the one I need using only AMD Eyefinity.

As far as I know, there are devices that support up to 6 displays and that can be ussed in crossfire, but the documentation says that the displays need to be connected to the primary graphics card. Does that mean that I can only connect a maximum of 6 displays (crossfire or not)? Is there no way to connect 9 or 12 displays at once?

If it's possible to connect 9 or 12 displays, which devices should I use?

Any information and help will be well received.

Hello,

you can build 9-12 display wall using several cards in one PC.

For instance, 2 x W600 will give you upto 12 monitor video wall.

best regards

Tom

But will be thay controlled independiently or can I use them as a really big single display using SLS?

Do they need to be connected in crossfire?

Are there any other models that could be used for this build? (Since where I live some models can't be found)

Thank you for your reply and your time!

Hello,

I assume we are talking about Windows, here.

Eyefinity allows to have upto 6 monitors as one big screen (eyefinity group).

For instance, you can have 12 monitor wall but built by two eyefinity groups as extended displays. You can also use all monitors independent on the desktop or in mixed mode (some in groups, rest as independent). But not as the one logical screen in Windows.

Firepro cards allow to do video wall (with six outputs: W600, W9000, W9100)

Crossfire has a different function and has nothing to do with video walls.

regards

Tom

Thank you so much, now I think I understand how this would be done.
