Hi, I would appreciate some help with this issue. The problem is that after installing my two grafic cards, ccc says that there is one primary and one disabled adapter. Also checked GPU-Z and 3DMark both of which say crossfire is disabled. On card is XFX Radeon HD 7870 and the other one is XFX Radeon HD 7850. I already tried uninstalling the old drivers and even went as far as to use Driver Cleaner to remove anything that might have been left behind. Installed the newest drivers without any change. I also tried changing place of the cards with each other and also tried to run them separately to see if one of them were defect but to no avail. My gear is as follows:

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 64bit

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE

Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0

Grafic Cards: XFX Radeon HD 7870 and 7850

PSU: Fractal Design Integra R2 750W

Make sure you have the crossfire connector properly seated, and also make sure you reboot after installing drivers.

You're not going to want to run Crossfire on that board, not with x16/x4.

I already changed motherboard to Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0, still have the same problem though.

Run the AMD catalyst uninstall utility, shut down, pull second card and disconnect bridge, boot, install drivers, shut down, install second card and bridge.

Finally got a reply from XFX

"AMD produced 2 versions of HD7870, early production use the Pitcairn XT chip, which is the same as HD7850 with more shader cores. Later Taihiti LE is added to the family, which is the same as HD7950 with fewer shaders. We feel sorry that the HD7870 you just purchased is a Taihiti LE, so it is not crossfire compatible with the HD7850. For the card model FX-787A-CDFC, version 2.0 and 3.0 are Taihiti LE, ver. A2/C4/E3 are Pitcairn XT. The version can be found on the package box and the label on the back of the card. Please contact the reseller for replacement or other arrangement according to the terms of the reseller.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Regards"
