I have a very specific problem.  It is repeatable (for me) and would be interested to know if there is anyone else out there for who it is working.

I cannot get a 144Hz display refresh rate to work with multi-GPU.  The PC blue-screens in the ati driver module.

I can reproduce this problem with two separate PCs. Unfortunately I only have the one monitor capable of 144Hz.

There is no problem with single GPU (CrossFireX disabled or non-fullscreen) and no problem at 120Hz.

For me it is specific to 144Hz with dual-GPU.  Please can someone else tell me whether this is a known problem or whether it should work! Thanks!

The technical details:

Monitor (single):
Asus VG275HR connected via dual-link DVI-D running native res (1080p)

PC1:
Asus Radeon HD7990-6GD5, i7-4770k, Asus Z87-Deluxe, OCZ ZX1250
Win7-64 Pro SP1, 13.6Beta2 (tried 13.4 too)
Stock voltages/frequencies

PC2:
Asus Radeon HD7970-3GD5 twin, i7-3930k, Asus P9X79-Pro, OCZ ZX1250
Win7-64 Pro SP1, 13.4
Stock voltages/frequencies

To reproduce - start any OpenGL or DirectX app fullscreen (1920x1080) at 144Hz refresh rate.  Even the 'SimpleSample' app from the D3D9 SDK shows the problem.  CrossFireX must be enabled.

Somebody out there must be running similar setups!

Doubtful someone would be running a $700 nVidia 3D Vision monitor on an AMD graphics card. Also, from the ASUS webpage:

To activate 144Hz function (in 2D mode), Dual-link DVI and a selected graphics card with the latest driver are required.

Thanks for the reply black_zion.  I am (or at least trying to ).

What I don't understand is that if it was a monitor limitation, why does single-GPU work ok at 144Hz?  That was what made me question the AMD config/driver.
