Hi everyone,

I think I may have stuffed up here but if anyone can help me out, that'd be great.

So, I have installed two cards: a HD6670 and a HD6450.

In the AMD Engine Control Centre (Information > Hardware) it lists both cards but says the 6670 is the primary adaptor and the 6450 is disabled. I was hoping to run them as dual graphics cards - is this possible, and if so, how?

Thanks.

Okay, thanks.

From what I've read since buying the cards, I gather I need two of the same card - is this correct?

If I'm really missing something here (because that is clearly a possibility!), please fill in the gaps for me. I've got a motherboard with all the necessary capabilities, I'm just trying to sort out what the deal is with the actual graphics cards.

Cheers.

with AMD cards you need two from the same series. So a 6670, would crossfire with anothe 6670 or another 6650, However you should look at the price of a single 7750, or 7770 as that card outperforms 6670's easily with just a single card.

Okay, now I understand! I'll definitely check out the 7750 or 7770 and see how that goes. May even fork out for two, all going well.

Cheers, I appreciate it.

Well, you didn't provide any information, So all I can really say, is check your crossfire cables and make sure your mother actually supports crossfire. make sure that windows detects both cards. And make sure you have power hooked up.
