Hello everyone- So I am new to AMD crossfire- here is my issue-

I have two HD 7950 cards

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX

Samsung Solid State Pro

AMD 8350

AMD Radeon Ram 16 gig

the system ran awesome- no bugs or issues. I install the other 7950 card and my system seems to hang- not fully boot inot all the programs and will not allow me to open a internet browser, Microsoft security hangs, windows sidebar will not open, and seems to just sit there. The system is not frozen, I can still naviagte around etc open windows-  I took the other card out and the system still hung- and then about 10 minutes later fully booted... WIERD.... So, I am kind of wondering if it was trying to recognize the other card and just gets hung.... NO viruses or malware are on the system.... What do you guys think?

Your motherbord have Expansion Slots
3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (dual x16 or x16, x8, x8) *1
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x1
1 x PCI
Card have PCIe 3.0 may be thes is a reason.
Try gray upper slot and the third slot gray.
And dont forget the crossfire bus.

I would try installing the second card by its self and see if you have issues if not than I would be looking at the PSU.

A bad or overstressed psu can couse weird issues like this

-------------------------

FX 8320// Asus Sabertooth R2.0 // HIS R9 280x //8Gb of 1866Mhz ram, H50 cooling, HX850W psu all stuffed into a NZXT Phantom case.
