Thanks Marc, The moment I started up the game for the first time and it was even lagging in the menu, I already lost all hope to being able to play this game properly in the upcoming 2 or 3 weeks... Seems I was right about that, but I'm being patient now that I know it's currently being fixed.

Hey guysand Marc, I'm running a i7 4770K rig with two Sapphire HD7950 vapor-x OC boosts in crossfire. I also have extremely poor crossfire performance in COD - Ghost. There's a considerate drop in FPS when running 2 cards and theres also texture flickering, on the floor, shadows and trees. At this stage the game is unplayable with crossfire configuration.

MaxPayne 3 also has the same issues. Hoping there is a driver that soon fixes the issues. I also installed the latest beta driver but performance actually got worst.

Please keep us posted, when there might be a possible fix!

@ nature.... yes buddy I with you on that one.

The worst of it all is that I can't believe that game developers don’t collaborate with both graphics manufacturers out there when doing game development. I do not blame both AMD and Nvidia for this mashup with SLI and Crossfire issues, I blame the game developers; we pay and expect a final product with minimal flaws on the date of release. This issue with Crossfire and SLI scaling on COD-Ghosts gives me an indication that the game developers did not test the game properly before release – even worst they didn’t collaborate with AMD or Nvidia to ensure that their product works optimally on peoples systems as I expect it to after spending money on a title that does not support my specifications.

At least AMD is trying their best on what they can do on their side.... which I do appreciate!

Quick Update:

So I can 100% confirm that AMD is aware of Call of Duty®: Ghosts giving very poor performance with AMD CrossFire™ enabled, and is working hard to resolve the issue as best we can.  It is my understanding, however, that this is in the multi-player modes of the game.  Single-player modes are experiencing quite positive Crossfire performance increases.

Can anyone verify the positive CF performance under single-player with Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2?

Not at all. With Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2, Crossfire in single-player is just as bad as multi-player. I also tested with Beta 8 and the 13.9 driver. Same problem all accross the board. Basically, depending on your in game settings, GPU usage in Crossfire will not ever go above 50% when in Crossfire. After disabling Crossfire GPU usage jumps to almost 100% and the game is playable.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit/2X XFX AMD 6950 2GB/8GB Ram...

Dear Marc,

finally someone from AMD who replies fast somewhere...at least

not only Single player in Crossfire is unplayable but i wrote something good to your support and they inded replied that my idea is brilliant.

It's all about drivers management and update and customers satisfaction.

Now I send you a PM and hope you read and can forward to someone who can be interested in another most efficient and modern method for the next implementations of the drivers update procedure.
Thanks for your attention. Best Regards

Hey Marc,

I played around with the single player and it does scale slightly (20FPS vs 45FPS which is still not the FPS the cards should achieve) better than multiplayer with Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2

However there are still some textures that flicker (shadows for the most part also gets worst when indoors) and then theres random stutters, when the stuttering starts I noticed that there are textures nearby that flickers. I dont understand why..... if theres no flickering textures then it runs fluently and stable for the most part, but I still believe that the framerate is not optimal for a high end machine.

The flickering cannot be caused by hardware as I will share my specs below.

Asus Maximus VI Hero Motherboard

Intel i7 4770k

Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600 (4gbx4)

2x Sapphire HD7950 Vapor-x in crossfire (only used one CF bridge)

1000w Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold PSU

If you have any other ideas or things we need to test, I'll do so.

Thanks for the help so far

Hi,

Tried the tutorial to the letter but, Crossfire works in single player but get the texture flickering issues (alot). Multiplayer still only utilises one card......

Marc are you out there?

Dur_TriX, I have not received any formal update on this issue.  I do know, however, that the issue remains a priority and is being worked on.

Well it Worked! I am dissapointed....

You win. I broke down and got a new single card solution. 280x. I just don't see the commitment to support crossfire/SLI going forward. Now I can only hope when AMD solves their issues I can crossfire the 6850's in my sons computer. Maybe then I'll pick up another 280x.

Till then, they will be expensive doorstops for my office. I feel for those who cannot afford to be impatient, like myself.

Good luck! I am watching to see how AMD handles this and will make all future purchases based on customer service.

Cheers!

The latest driver (11/22) improves stability of crossfire but the performance is still all over the place. Running it on all medium settings the game still stutters in singleplayer, and in multiplayer it just isn't playable.

Specs:

i7-2600 at 3.4

8gb ddr3 ram

2x XFX 6870 1 gb crossfire

Exactly the same thing. Multiplayer freezes and an error message appears...

Will a fix be coming?

Crossfire still does not scale properly and the game works better with a single card. I don't know what to do.
