Hi Guys,

I'm an MSI HD 7870 O.C. owner and just ordered an Asus HD 7870. Now im getting ready to setup the crossfire but before that, i wanted to take some recommendations from you fellow users.
I have a few questions if you dont mind ;
- I found a SLI bridge which was inside my mobo box. Its an ASUS SLI bridge, may i use it for crossfire ?
- On sime sites i saw that some users use two bridges at the same time to connect two cards.Is this necessary or does it have any cons or pros ?
- I have the latest drivers and updates, is there any tips and tricks you may advice for crossifre ?

Cheers and thanks in advance...

hi,

- dont use the sli bridge provided in your asus mobo box.

- if your cards have connection for two bridges, then connect them by the two bridges.

- after setting up the crossfire, disable the ULPS, search the FAQ of this forum to learn how.

please share your full system spec here.

SLI and crossfire bridges are different,use the one that comes with the graphics card.you only need 1 bridge.

If you already have 1 7870 installed,just install the other,connect the bridge,connect the power from the PSU,open VCC,make sure crossfire is enabled.thats it.

ONLY use both bridges if your cards or mobo manual indicate you MUST install them that way.
