I would like to establish 2900XT setup with three or four cards working in CrossFire. Is it possible?

I know, that now it is pointless for normal use, but this would be for HWBot submissions.

According to materials on the internet it should work. But apart from this info I wasn't able to actually find anything about pairing more than two cards.

I have 2x HD2900 XT 512MB GDDR3 and 1x HD2900 XT 1GB GDDR4. Tried it on Rampage IV Black Edition + 4960X with Catalyst 13.9 Legacy, but only two cards were working in CF. No matter if 1GB model was first, second or third one.

Maybe it is fault of GDDR4 card, but maybe I am doing something wrong 4x HD7970 works ok on this setup (with different Catalyst of course).

I have 2x Enermax Platimax 1000W, so powering the rig is not an issue.
