Guys I'm absolutely out of ideas. I have texture issues in virtually all games that I use crossfire with. Starcraft 2, MaxPayne3, call of duty ghosts... the list goes on. It seems where ever there is suppossed to be shadows the textures flicker. In the titles mentioned above its so distracting it makes it unplayable. I have tested each card separately, in different pci slots. They both work perfectly alone no issues. As soon as I crossfire I experience these issues. I have tested differnt crossfire bridges, disabled ULPS, installed CCC 13.12 with no difference.

I have even tested a friends HD7970. And it plays perfectly. As soon as I crossfire I experience the flickering issue. I monitored the temps on the cards and they never exceed 63c, and they are receiving enough power from the psu. I also didnt overclock any components. See my specs below:

Asus maximus hero 6 (newest bios installed)

Corsair vengeance 16gb ddr1600 (4x 4gb)

2x sapphire hd7950 vaporx oc boost (dont even use the factory boost button)

Intel 4770k (stock clocks)

Corsair neutron 3 256gb Ssd

1000w silent pro gold coolernaster psu

Hi Zion,

Yes tried 13.1 (shipped with both cards on the cd), 13.7, 13.9, 13.11beta9.4.

Tried them all the only difference it makes is on older drivers 13.1 5the problem is worst the rest all looks the same.... flickering textures on the ground and some textures that doesnt even render at all. And I have also done a fresh install of windows 7 64 to try and trace the driver issue with no luck yet.

I wont be able to RMA the cards. Since they work perfectly when not in crossfire even the PCI-E slots check out fine. I live in South-Africa which makes these things extremely difficult.

well...

if RMA isnt an option then im afraid you have to do a long search for a fix.

its not a driver thing, as u said u tried a few of them. its not other known tweaks, as you said you tried them as well.

hope you find a solution, if you did please share it with us.

hi guys, after contacting sapphire directly I did some more troubleshooting. At the end of the day I did not get the cards to crossfire properly. I did solve the issue by buying a new EVGA GTX780 SuperClocked with ACX cooling.

Now I can use my rig without any issues. I would have bought a R9 290 but after reading about the thermals of 95c I opted out to the GTX780. With my next build Ill do an Radeon build again.

Its unfortunate that the HD7950's didnt work......
