Ok, I actually came now from the cpu store where I was able to try 2 HD7770 out of the box in a new mobo I purposely installed on my cpu and...

... guess what!?

 NO CROSSFIRE!

At least not with any recent drivers. Yeah, I was able to enable both GCs in Crossfire but with really old drivers. Which means: my cpu with only 1 HD7770 running latest drivers works WAY BETTER than 2x HD7770 in Crossfire with old drivers. I tryed 3 dif fps, 40% performance decrease.

Since the purpose of Crossfire is to increase performance, please tell me, am I missing something here!?

ps: tryed on W7 and in W8 with same results.

Had similar problem when I updated catalyst/driver.

In the latest driver Crossfire doesn't work.

Latest one working for me is
13-9_win7_win8_64

These does not work (i mean they work but no crossfire)
13.11_betav9.2
13-12_win7_win8_64

Will not change until Mantle is released, wonder if crossfire will work then?

Is there some1 that has been able to set hd7770 on Crossfire with latest drivers?

Because, the funny thing is, since i bought the 2nd GC and set them on Crossfire I get less performance. LOL

I fell robbed at this point. I should have never bought a 2nd hd7770 and try this Crossfire. Im on a 2 week period trying to fix it, i only see bad things regarding Crossfire on web and I dont see no light at teh end of tunnel.

Lets just say i bought AMD GC for 3 times: the first, the only and the last time.

Same for me, first time I try Crossfire.  I only did it because I found a 7970 that was 25% cheaper than the 7950 bought almost 1,5 years ago.

I suggest that you try with older versions, the new one don't work for me either (now using 13.9).

I apreciate your sugestion but why would I use older drivers that do enable Crossfire but get me less performance.

Isint the objective of Crossfire to get your performance increased?

I have crossfire running wonderfully with the recent reg.drivers (non-beta) on my two 7870's.

When I first installed my second card I did have issues with the card being disable with black screens then no CF and such. I performed a system bios update for the mobo (as it turned out there was a new update) and voila new card worked and I was able to crossfire.

I had fully uninstall the drivers and CCC after the bios update and performed a clean install.

Crossfire is awesome. Every game full out in settings with huge FPS. Battlefield 3 was 150-180 FPS on average. Not sure about BF4 FPS as they do not post for me....but the game runs and looks awesome. Should mention I am running an OC'd i5 and OC'd videocards.

My Bios is updated. In fact, has i mentioned previously, I already tryed 2 new HD7770 out of the box in mine and in other mobo also out of the box and correctly installed in my cpu.

But really glad you were able to set your crossfire, m8. And i trully hope its stays working fine for you. Me, on the other hand, will never go for crossfire again. Selling my old GC for what ever the money people offer and add that to the money im willing to spend at that time, in a GC.

Is there any person with access to your keyboard that could give us information to your system specs?

Could you ask that person to determine if you have an integrated gpu and have them disable it for you.

Im gona leave my cpu in a store where it will get (again) some professional attention. They already have the link of this thread, Im sure they will provide you with all the info needed. Even because they are selling AMD products at their store and are very much interested in understand the deepness of the problem.
