Topic Title: Expect Issues With CrossfireX?
Topic Summary: After researching my issues with games crashing, I'm thinking I should just expect it to happen.

Does anyone actually have a flawless CrossfireX experience?  I'm begining to doubt it.

I guess all I'm really asking, is this as common as it seems on the web, or am I just one of the unlucky few.  I've always worked my way though any of my other ATI/AMD issues over the years, but this is my first crossfire setup.  I'm stumpted and losing hope.

I can't figure out what is going wrong in my sysetm. 30 - 40 minutes into a game, blackscreen, stopped sound, softpower reboot required.

I have 2 290s, and the cards run fine by themselves.  Temps are way lower than reference cards (Arctic III Xtreme coolers).  I have a new Seasonic 1000 w PSU.  New build of Windows 7.  Newest drivers (and old ones, and even 13.30).  Newest Bios's.  Swapped out nearly every piece of hardware, bought enough new stuff to almost build a new box.  I've been on a half dozen forums asking questions.

What is next?  I don't want to give up.  I just don't know what else to do.

Is it the drivers? Should I just wait or sell a card?

I used Crossfire for 3 years and the only thing I suffered from was annoyance from the noise.

Hang in there.  Some games Crossfire flawlessly; others are shameful! As a game tester,  can't remember a recent game that didn't work well in Crossfire with the exception of COD:  Ghosts.

Newer drivers usually solve most problems.

How far back in the "old" drivers have you tried...all the 13.11 series?

OFTEN, when crashes occur 30-40 minutes into a game, temps could be the problem.
