Hi Guys,

Hope you can help with this one.

I have a Powercolor (orig) 7990 and Asus DC2 7970 which I am using for TriFire. Because I am also using Eyefinity I am connecting my 3 Displayport monitors to the Asus DC2 7970 specifically because it has 4 Displayport outputs (and this gets around all the active/passive/non-dp) issues completely.

However, my question is, will I suffer a performance penalty by connecting the 7970 rather than the 7990 or will Crossfire just distribute the load evenly, would I see a performance gain if the 7990 was connected to the monitors (downside, the 7990 would re-introduce differing connections, DVI/HDMI/DP).

I do allot of Flight Simming so I am hoping I can get some big gains with these cards across 3 24" screens.

Any help really appreciated.
