Recommend you purchase one newer card.  Determine what you can afford, then, buy one a bit better.  You won't regret it!

The HD 4xxx series cards are now legacy. Support is limited. Also, does not meet the minimum requirements for Windows 8.1 if you ever decided to upgrade.

It depends on what you are wanting to do with them, gaming or just watching videos.

Forget about 3-4 monitors and get serious.  Buy something in the 7850 or newer range and do a little research on reviews, Newegg, etc.
