I have a HD 7770 and i bought a R9 280X Toxic, it's possibile to do a crossfire between these two video cards?

Their specs are quite dissimilar as shown here:

I am not totally sure but i don't believe you can crossfire an R9 280X with an HD 7770.

An R7 250X should be the rebranded version of HD 7770.

Someone can correct me if i am wrong.

Can anyone by any chance upload an up to date crossfirex compatibility chart that includes the latest R series cards (if there is any) ? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

 

That could be really helpfull.

This is the latest one they've got...

To answer your question, mlnm, NO, you cannot Crossfire a HD 7770 with a R9-280X.

The R9-280X is really just an updated HD 7970. It still uses the same 'Tahiti' core. You can only Crossfire the R9-280X with:

  • Another R9-280X
  • R9-280
  • HD 7970
  • HD 7950
