So, as the topic says, I have two R9 290's in crossfire. I am using vsync, and am having the audio issues that people are reporting. I've read a bunch of different things about this, but from what I'm seeing it's a driver issue? I have tried a bunch of different drivers that people say will fix the issue, but none of the drivers I've tried have fixed it. What are the exact drivers I should be using, and what steps should I take to uninstall what I have and install the new drivers.

Thanks.

This didn't work. I'm still experiencing popping sounds with crossfire and vsync enabled.

Hello again.

Are you using HDMI cable ?

Could you please point me to a link or two about the issue you and other people are having ?

Please take a minute to fill your pc system details so you can give as much feedback as possible.

Thanks.

Well, the log shows everything is installed succesfully, but i don't see the AMD HDMI audio driver anywhere.

In addition, if i am correct, i see a failed attempt to download and install additional driver package.

Do you have windows update to automatically download gpu drivers ?

If so, change the setting or disable internet connection (on reboot as well) during the whole clean installation procedure.

When you uninstall a driver suite, make sure all is uninstalled:

- catalyst install manager

- amd display driver

- hdmi audio driver

- amd catalyst control center

- amd accelerated video transcoding

Then, and only then, try a clean install of drivers (internet off).

Can you try a different hdmi cable, or a different type of cable (like dvi-d) ?

There is a big chance it's a driver bug, so wait for the upcoming driver.

That link shows the problem was acknowledged months ago, and they said it was fixed, but I am still having the same issue.

Yes, good find mate.

I suggest that you try the 14.3 beta and send a report to amd customer care in the meantime.
