I wonder though...... how come this driver fixes it ?

A specific HDMI audio driver maybe ?

I don't know.

It looks like all the drivers included in the package are different from the whql 14.4 official driver.

It doesnt even leave the usual AMD folder in drive C:

Can you post the exact software properties shown in CCC ?

Or a screenshot of that ?

Just to make the comparisons.

No, that's fine mate.

I should have used my common sense to see that regardless the language.

I'm just used to ccc not showing this information for me, since i use the realtek hd audio driver.

Anyway, the hdmi audio driver is the same but you have an older version of CCC and a newer version of OpenGL.

Just weird with all these amd driver variations......

Thank you very much for all the feedback you've given so far.

It could potentially help other users as well.

Have you tested any good games yet ?

How is the performance ?

I must say, this card is a BEAST now that its working.

I've been playing everything on max and no sound compared to the original R9 290 I had before.

I am just waiting for some games to come out and I'll be running 4K soon (Can't wait).

Glad to hear ya got it working better... you should check out OCN, they have a club for ye R9 295x2 folk where a lot of the owners thereof talk about the card, optimizing it's uses, overclocking it if you're in to that.

I'm aiming to get a Devil 13 which is like the R9 295x2's evil demented twin brother... lol we shall see.

You should post up some numbers from the card on benchmarks or a game or something, give us somethin' to look at lol

I sent a survey to AMD.

The last post looks promising, so I turned ULPS off and I have been gaming Diablo III for one hour withouth an incident.

It remains to be confirmed, so I give it a week, if I dont hear the horrible distortion by then the problem will be considered solved

Too bad I have to pay a slighty larger electric bill because of AMDs incompetence

Every new dual-gpu card will have a small-medium period of time before drivers catch up. And i don't mean just fps performance. It's normal and has always been that way.

Correct me if i am wrong.

But yea, one would think that a user should not alter a power saving feature to solve another driver issue.

I believe it would be much better if amd started bundling these expensive cards with free ps4 or xboxone games.

Have a console beside your pc to compensate the difficult hours ......
