Hi people! I have videocard Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 750 MHz and APU AMD A8-6600K with integral GPU 844 Mhz. This configuration support Dual Graphics? With Dual graphics will be better on this configuration? Thanks

P.S. Sorry for my English.

From what I can find reliably these are the ONLY supported GPU's-6450,6570 or 6670

So from what I see,No, the 4870 will NOT work.

Borrowed from guru3d user sykozis:

There have been a lot of people claiming to have success with the HD7750, but only 3 cards are officially supported. In reality, there's no point in trying "Dual Graphics" with an HD7770 as it won't provide any more benefit than an HD6670 will due to the considerably lower performance of the integrated GPU on the A8 6600K.

Plus, being 2 completely different architectures (the HD7700 series being a GCN based GPU and the Radeon HD8570D being a VLIW based architecture), even if you manage to get "Dual Graphics" to work, it's likely to be more problematic than using 2 VLIW based GPUs.

Thanks! I saw such information, but comletely all this message about better vidocard, than 6450, 6570 and 6670. And better, than integrated. So, whats about worse videocard? example, my. So, i try enabled dual graphics with my configuretion and hope, that this actions will not damage my computer

I will tell about my experience later

At worse, you'll get incompatibility issues/ disfunctional performance on a software level.

Assuming you watch your temps.

The APU has dx11 graphics, and the hd4870, although a decent gpu, has only dx9 graphics.

There lies your first set of problems.

I say, don't bother. It's not worth the trouble.
