Theoretically the upgrade is possible IF the cpu isn't soldered into the motherboard and the bios even understands the new cpu, getting a laptop cpu is another challenge, they aren't sold retail, can the cooling handle the increased heat output or would you need external cooling and finally, warrany of any kind will be void, should it fail, the laptop is bricked. There are just too many things that can go wrong, so its easier to say NO to this.
