So I'm thinking on upgrading my 2 year old brazos notebook, which for the most part have been pretty good.
The only real complaint I have with this notebook is that cpu performance can sometimes be lacking. I find myself waiting for the notebook to keep up with the content displayed more than I'd like, and I have to deal with unexplained slowdowns which are annoying.
To be fair, this is a 2 year old notebook that, at the time of purchase, was the best in its price bracket. It served me really well, and the move to Windows 8 actually made it faster that it's now more tolerable.
I really don't like to spend a lot on a notebook, and the combination of a high-res screen, good battery, low weight and affordable price is appealing. However, due to my mixed experience with my current notebook I'm also considering paying more and getting a higher class processor.
