Others have posted similar type of issue, but what are your specifications.

It helps those who give out advise on issues.

ive had similar issue, purchased the a6-6400k over the weekend along with the asus F2-A55M LK motherboard and installed vista 32.

initially after instalation of vista windows wouldnt list the correct processor name in the computer properties, after updating to service pack 1 the cpu name was correct but wouldnt load graphics properly and the system rating listed both aero and gaming graphics as rating of 1.

ive since updated all the windows updates thru service pack 2 and the computer seems to run very well only games dont work due to the internal graphics not being recognized and windows just installs generic video drivers even after installing the latest catalyst version.

Yes.  I have a fm2a75m-itx r2.0 with an a6-6400k and there appear to be no working XP drivers for the 8470D.  Even though the 13.4 (9.0) drivers install correctly they do not actually change the display.  I saw there was no XP driver included with the latest 13.6 BETA2 driver.  AMD please dont abandon us XP users!

Go to the ASRock site and get their newest video drivers for your board and it should cure your problem. ASRock has totally screwed up their ASRock A series install disks; and AMD is no help as their drivers typicaly don't work with these boards - I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY!!!
