For my girlfriends birthday I decided to get her a new PC (laptop was walking death row), so I picked up the A8 660K processor along with the FM2 A85XA-G65 MOBO.
Right off the bat we started having issues, first we needed to flash the MOBO for it to reconize the processor, finally got WIN7 x64 installed and then we tried to install the Catalyst drivers and thats where the issues began.
First attempt, upon restarting the PC after installing the drivers the screen would go black short after the "loading windows" So I just formatted and re-installed Windows.
Update ALL drivers required and then attempted the Vid Drivers again, exact same issue. So hit Tab, F8, tried using "Enable Low-Resolution Video (640x480) thinking it just can't go as high as it was originally, nothing.
I was able to get into Safe Mode, no issues there, so I then did the, "Last Known Good Configuration" option, back into the desktop we go.
Once I did that though, I started experiencing more problems, I lost the ability to connect to the internet even with install/uninstalling/updating the drivers for the Onboard Ethernet, it just continues to say, No connection available.
Also, I get a message stating MOM.exe has failed to work from time to time as well which it has to do with .Net Framework.
In all the times I've built computers, I've never had so many problems with something that should have been so easy to setup.
Any clues how to resolve this issue so my girlfriend can finally use the computer?
