I have an hp h7-1534 that came with the A8-5500k apu, I installed a GeForce GTX 650 and had no issues getting it to read the card, well I upgraded to the A10-5800k and now I can not get my computer to read the graphics card, I tried everything I can think of and now about to return the A10-5800 apu. Im using Windows 8 64 bit, the bios doesn't give the option to to switch graphics, Ive tried updating drivers, switching the security to legacy boot and everything else Ive read. Any help would be appreciated.

Well you have the same processor and mother board that I have. The difference is you have a GTX 650.

If it worked with the 5500 apu it should work with the 5800K.

I use a HD 7850 and I haven't messed with that type of card since my P4 days.

But you are using a 300W PSU and the 5800K will draw more power than the 5500. This could be your problem. Go to Tiger Direct Enyle EN-500F 500W PSU which will match the dimensions of your stock 300W unit. Your GTX 650 requires 400W min.

I did already upgraded to a 400w psu that I had. My computer wont recognize the card at all...installed old processor, no issue, reinstall new one and nothing again.

Did you upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows 7.

I had done this and had some wierd issues after upgrading from the A8-5500 to the A10-5800K. But not related to my 7850 this issues occurred before I upgraded the PSU and added the card.

To correct these issues I did a Windows 8 Refresh, to do this you will need the disk.

Once I did this I have not had a problem with my HP box. The refresh will give you a list of programs you will need to re-install. I didn't install any of HP crap that the box came with.

You might want to do this, the refresh is pretty quick. Serveral other users have had issues and this fix them.
