Graphics Card

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql  (08.00.0915)
The HD 8670D is not recognized by the driver CD, which came with the motherboard

Operating System
- Win 7 Pro 64-bit; SP1.

Issue Details
- Radeon HD 8670D is not recognized by Windows 7
- When I use the driver pack above it shows "Radeon HD 8670D" but after rebooting after the installation of the driver, the screen goes black (flickers) at the login screen. Then I have to use the Safe Mode to deactivate the Radeon HD 8670D - otherwise the screen keeps being black most of the time.

Motherboard or System Make & Model
ASRock FM2A85X Extrem 4

Power Supply

be quiet! Straight Power E9 400W

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used
Philips 190S, VGA

Applications and Games

- Windows 7 - fresh installed

CPU Details
A10-6800K, boxed

Motherboard BIOS Version
P1.10

System Memory Type & Amount
- 8GB, G. Skill - Sniper 2x4GB 2133MHz

Additional Hardware

I'm quit deperate... Is there any way to check, if this error is caused by the driver or by the hardware (A10-6800k or ASRock motherboard)?

Thank you very much,

Peter

Okay... still not working... Now the computer is in a "restarting loop"... Hmm... It worked just once...

Yes, 13.9 seems to be fine. I had to use a older resore point though.... I must have mixed up my system. I also went back to bios 1.6. So this is my setup for those having the same problem with my hardware...

Thanks,

Peter

System is running stable, but I still get a black screen from time to time - about once in 30 min or so... It's rather short, like 1 sec. I can live with it, but it's still annoying.
