Can some one tell me if kaveri is worth the upgrade from the current A8-6600k apu? keep in mind i am using a dedicated 7870ghz edition gpu, so i do not care about the APU's onboard gpu, so would i see any performance boost if i were to upgrade?

I would wait a while, you don't want to be like most of those who are having issues with motherboards and bios updates. If you do upgrade, you will need a new motherboard unless the one you have is a FM2+.

Also by waiting you can see more performance comparisons done about the processing increases by independent reports.

I'm interested in the Kaveri but I'm holding back for a bit longer. I will then retire one of my older systems for a new one.
