I would like to test DVI-HDMI Adapter to my pc, is this ATI adapter compatible or are they all similar.

tft monitor (hdmi+vga+display port) --- pc connections DVI-D and HDMI.

i have read that graphics card essentially recognises anything connected via HDMI as a TV rather than a monitor.
So if i can to avoid this using adapter, so pc craphics recognize monitor right.

ATI DVI-HDMI Adapter Model: 6141054300G

I'd just use the HDMI connection.
