Yes, I realize that. I'm just looking for the cheapest/smallest solution that'll output 4k @ 24hz or 30hz and be smooth for video playback (no gaming).
I also see the marketing materials that claim it supports 4k. After upgrading to the latest 14.x beta drivers I saw some drastic improvement. The thing can playback a 1080p video (while monitor at 4k resolution) smooth, and a 4k video @ 4k resolution is bearable, there's some choppines depending on the scene. This was a win7 install, I'll try with win8.1 on the GB-BXA8-5545 and see if that makes a difference.
My requirement was a tiny form factor, hence why I went with the brix/nuc setups. I've decided to fork over the extra $250 and get a GIGABYTE GB-BXi5-4570R with i5-4570R/Iris Pro graphics 5200, as that's proven to playback 4k video smooth.
