AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
None, fresh install

Issue Details
The mobo (barebones) runs from the PSU just fine and as soon as I put in the APU w/ the heatsink, the mobo will not fully power up. In otherwords, as soon as I hit the power switch, it turns on then off within a second. The green led light on the mobo is on though, notifying that it's recieving power.

Your new motherboard might have a BIOS that does not support Kaveri A10-7850K out of the box. You should borrow Trinity/Richland FM2 APU from someone or just buy the cheapest one for testing/debugging in the mean time and return it or sell it later. Another option is to contact Asus technical support and have them ship you the same motherboard with BIOS that supports Kaveri SKUs out of the box. If BIOS isn't the problem then it's hard to say what is. To debug these sorts of issues you really need alternate parts that are known to have been working.

I hope this helps.
