Seems like a few people have this problem and the only solution is to go out and buy completely different hardware until it works.. I have an Asus a55bm-a motherboard it worked completely fine with a a10-6800k then when i upgraded to a10-7850k it only works in single channel memory, dual channel will not boot no matter what. My bios is up to date(1602) and ram is on the QVL list, also other ram same thing happens. I already RMA the CPU and the Motherboard.. If everything works with a10-6800k the 7850k must be the issue... Amd told me to ask asus, asus told me to go to gskill and so on... i am sure they are aware of this problem. If Any one ever figured this out please share

Other specs.

I have the same motherboard with 8gb of dual channel 2133mhz g-skill memory running an A10-7700k and it does work just fine so maybe it is the 7850k though they aren't all that different.

Are your enabling/disabling dual channel in bios or just removing a stick? (not sure if that's possible just asking) Maybe try playing with the memory profiles in the BIOS or other cpu/northbridge settings.

Benchmark-wise, the 7700k is pretty damn close to the 7850k so maybe you'd wanna just call it a day, return that one and try the 7700k. Either that or upgrade the motherboard.
