Hi, I'm setting up a desktop pc with A8 5600K on A88XM-E35. On first run I entered BIOS and I found CPU temp. on 65 degrees (celsius).
The cooler is the original one (I'm going to buy a CoolerMaster TX3 or similar), but it's too high. I tried to set as off thermal control and I reached 57 / 58 degrees with 3100~ rpm (very noise). I tried also a 3 pin old cooler for amd2 and reached 53 degrees with 4700 ~ rpm (noisy like a jet plane).
I update the bios with 30.3 release.
I ask if, in your opinion, it's normal to have 65 degrees with standard cooler.
Thanx a lot for any answer.
Paolo

Hi,

It is still 10-15 degree under the max temp for A8-5xxx, but it going to shorten the lifetime usage in long term. So, I would say it is not regular.

However. as any sane advise, get a better cooling system
For AMD FM2 system, get the CM T4 (I think so) since it is designed for FM2 (without any socket mods).

Get a better thermal paste too, and apply it properly when changing to cooler system.

My a10-5800k went to 90 degrees all the time with the stock cooler. I now use the hyper tx3 and it works great.
