I haven't come across what I'm looking for so I might have missed it or it might not be enabled yet, but I wanted to check with the experts.

Can we currently enable HSA with the A10-7850k and a R9 280x to take advantage of the GPU cores on the APU for CPU tasks?

I am not asking about Dual Graphics.

Any information or advice on how to enable this would be greatly appreciated.

No you can't enable dual graphics between those two (only R7 240 and R7 250), but why would you want to? R9 280x alone gives more performance than dual graphics could ever give.

I am not wanting to enable dual graphics, I want to enable the GPU cores on the APU to function as additional CPU cores which is what HSA is all about.

I was also wondering if that is the case. And I found out it's true, but I can't remember the source of that information

I'm very intrigued by this as well.  I have an A10 Kaveri APU with 8gb Gskill sniper 9/11/10/28 ram with an MSI R7 250 2gb DDR3 GPU...I'd love to try this out also!

If you don't mind sharing, could you point us in the right direction to your source for this?

Thanks!

I am also interested in such information. I bought A10 7850k Specially for enable the GPU cores on the APU to function as additional CPU cores which is what HSA is all about.

Now I am looking for infomation. How it must be to start them?

I do NOT need Dual Graph. For video signal i have HD7770.

All what i want like that author -enable the GPU cores on the APU to function as additional CPU cores which is what HSA is all about.

Pls need an information about it!

i think you are misunderstanding hsa,  hsa is software implementation that can use those 8 compute cores. they are already enables but only hsa enabled applications will utilize the cores
