Can the R5000 PCoIP host be setup for direct connection to a Zero client without using a connection broker?
The user manual says:
Remote graphics with the AMD FirePro™ R5000 workstation graphics card requires a PCoIP certified thin client receiver box.
1.Connect your AMD FirePro™ R5000 workstation graphics card to the network switch through the lower RJ-45 connection using a standard Ethernet cable.
Connect the displays, mouse, and keyboard to the PCoIP receiver box (“portal&rdquoand connect the portal to the network.
Determine the MAC addresses for the host system and PCoIP receiver box, anduse your connection broker software to relate the portal to the host PC.
Connection broker software is not provided by AMD.
It also says:
Note: AMD FirePro™ R5000 workstation graphics works with any PCoIP-certified thin client solution.
Most (all?) thin/zero clients using the Teridici chipset have a way to setup a direct connection to a host, and most hosts have a web interface that you can configure to allow direct connections. The manual in this case seems a little confusing.
