Hi,

I have been using a 2450 in and HP tower, can't recall the model, using Windows Vista for a couple years now.  I want to upgrade my computer and am wondering, will this card work with Windows 8.1?

I'm looking at getting an HP Workstation Z230 and assume it will come loaded with 8.1.

If it will work where can I get drivers?  Having trouble navigating the AMD drivers page, can't seem to find this model.

Thanks in advance,

Linn

Had a quick search for them and there doesn't seem to be any indeed, have you tried installing Windows 7 drivers on it? In most cases they should work fine just like most Vista drivers work on W7.

Hi,

No I haven't tried any drivers because I haven't bought the new computer yet.  Was holding off to see if I could use this card or not.  Looking like I'll also need to buy a new card then.

You see I have to get permission from management to buy the system and it is usually much easier to say, "this is everything I need" than to say, "oops, I also need this now too", if you know what I mean.

Wonder what would be a suitable replacement card.  Mostly just for business apps, surfing the web sort of thing but I need to drive 4 monitors.

Thanks for the help,

Linn

Try: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Step 1 = Workstation Graphics

Step 2 = FirePro MultiView Series

Step 3 = FirePro 2460 (or FirePro 2450)

Step 4 = Windows 8.1 - 64 Bit

Mind you, since getting the 2460s, including with the latest drivers, I have periodic driver failures and DPC latency of 1ms, compared to ~300us when I had nVidia-based cards, and consistently across Win 7, 8, and 8.1.
