I'm trying to find a WinXP driver for a FireGL card, coming up empty--feeliing extremely frustrated by what should be simple.  Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.

The part number is 102a6711101 000001

I'm posting this first in case someone has a quick answer.  Details to come.

I naturally began with Google, found this page:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

The issue is, I don't know the card's model number, and no numbers on the labels look anything like the models listed in the dropdown.  Choosing "not sure" just takes me to a page where I'm on my own looking for the model number.
The model number or at least the part number will be printed on the barcode sticker located on the back of the graphics card.
But I can't find a page that lets me select driver by part number, nor have I found one that correlates part numbers to model numbers.  ANY of the above would help immensely.

I found the AMD Driver Autodetect tool and thought, "that was annoying, but here's my silver bullet."  Relieved, I downloaded and ran it.

Nope.

It ran and vanished, and I thought it hadn't done anything.  After a couple minutes, a SysTray popup caught my attention, "That's odd, putting the driver detect down here..."

Nope.  The AMD Gaming Evolved Control Center (beta)

It's a game frontend.  Looks like an amateur version of Steam.  It assimilated all those favorites like Freecell and Minesweeper.

Am I on Punk'd?  Is this my own version of the Truman Show?

Hate to just rant on my first forum day, but this is insane.  Video drivers are either there or no longer made.  But I have bloatware on a brand-new, fresh OS install.

I should add that searching amd.com for 102a6711101 yields a "not found" message, and searching amd.com from Google brings me to this forum post and

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/workstation/certified

...which still insists on a model number and not the part number.

Using Google on ati.com didn't match anything.

Thanks for reading.

Does Speccy show the model number?

http://www.piriform.com/speccy

Doesn't device manager show you what you have?

edit: You can also use SIW to get the info.

no, but  I expect this will make a handy counterpart to Unknown Devices.

unfortunately, device manager is about as helpful as googling long part numbers.

Now this is nice.  I found the trial Technician's version--I've got a V3400.  SOLD.  I'm buying a copy.

Thanks for all the help, stumped.  You kick ass.

Thanks for moving the thread; I didn't see FireGL (I'm fired, no pun intended)

edit: wish there was a preview.  Trashed my post with a missing tag and edited  90 times. :-)
