I have four major problems with my FirePro W8000 drivers:

1) Virtual terminals are all blank and unusable. (Ctrl+Alt+F1, etc)

2) I get lots of spam in my dmesg with lines like the following:

3) When I debug software that loads the OpenCL libraries, stepping in the debugger randomly hangs my entire X session. Most likely, the OpenCL implementation is doing a "grab" causing input to be frozen indefinitely (because the debugger has frozen the thread while another thread in the process is at a breakpoint). This happens whether or not any OpenCL activity is in progress, simply initializing it causes the problem.

4) Team Fortress 2 runs unplayably slow and laggy. Runs at about 20 fps with at least 500ms of mouse lag. My GTX 580 ran hundreds of FPS when vsync was off with zero mouse lag.

This is on a system with a 6-core Core I7 Extreme @ 3.46 GHz with triple channel 20GB of RAM. My system had TWO GTX 580 before, and I have a 1200W power supply, so power can't be the problem. My motherboard is an MSI BigBang X-Power MS-7666 with X58 chipset. It supports dual PCIe x16.

My driver version is 12.104.2-Linux-130529a-158616C-Retail

My OS is Linux Mint 14 64-bit Mate desktop. It is basically the same thing as Ubuntu 12.10 with Mate desktop instead of Unity.

I used to run very demanding dual GPU raytracing (before swapping out the GTX 580's for the W8000) and I do 12-processor (C++) builds all the time, no issues, rock solid stability.
