Got a new Dell M6800 laptop with a FirePro M6100 card.

I searched and can not find a supported driver.

Is any plan to get this card offcially supported?

Thanks.

The latest fglrx should work, the drivers are unified. If it does not work, you should contact Dell and ask for their drivers.

I tried 13.11_beta, aticonfig says no supported cards.

Is this the lastest version you mean?

Thanks.

Yes, I meant that one. Dell must have done something to that card so it cannot be recognized. Contact them and ask for drivers they have.

OK, I'll contact Dell see if they have drivers I need.

Also it's nice for your drivers support Dell's M6100 card , because your drivers are more linux distribution friendly.

Thank you.

@chrisyu

Did you get any help from Dell?

As I understand, AMD's proprietary (linux) drivers don't support this card at all and the open source drivers misidentify/don't support it either.

@eydee

Any idea how to resolve a Dell-modified hardware ID?

I haven't contact them.

Last year, Dell did have a Linux driver for Redhat I think, which was taken down now. File named fglrx64_p_i_c-12.104.2-1.x86_64.rpm.tar.gz .

I needed to get notebook to work at that time, so I had to keep using Windows util now.
