Hello AMD team,

First of all I would like to say BIG thanks for AMD Linux drivers  improvement.

But I am facing a strange issue - yesterday I downloaded a the latest 14.1 beta driver for linux and tried to generate Mageia 4 packages.

I ve followed the same process for 13.30 RC3 - and packages are generated and working properly

Here is the my fglrx-install.log output

Building package failed!
rpmbuild output follows:
Executing(%prep): /bin/sh -e /tmp/amd.xUaS10/tmp/rpm-tmp.is9zBs

then build info - showing error section

Processing files: x11-driver-video-fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64
error: File not found: /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/etc/ati/atiogl.xml
Executing(%doc): /bin/sh -e /tmp/amd.xUaS10/tmp/rpm-tmp.CDPXHK
+ umask 022
+ cd /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILD
+ cd fglrx-13.35.10050
+ DOCDIR=/tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ export DOCDIR
+ /usr/bin/mkdir -p /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ cp -pr README.install.urpmi /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ cp -pr README.manual-setup /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ cp -pr README.8.980.upgrade.urpmi /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ cp -pr common/usr/share/doc/fglrx/configure.html /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ cp -pr common/usr/share/doc/fglrx/LICENSE.TXT /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/usr/share/doc/x11-driver-video-fglrx
+ exit 0

RPM build errors:
File not found: /tmp/amd.xUaS10/BUILDROOT/fglrx-13.35.10050-1amd.mga4.x86_64/etc/ati/atiogl.xml
[Error] Generate Package - error generating package : Mageia/4

Catalyst 13.30 are working fine for me (for A10-7850K) so if needed, I am OK to submit a bug report, please point me to the bugzilla then.

Thanks a lot

AMD team is not here. You're on the community forums. A word of advice: When you sign up for a forum, what you get to read there is not the same thing as EULAs for software. So do not skip reading it. See, you don't even know what forum this is. Next time you'll ask about global warming on a site for my little pony?

There's a link on the bottom of the page if you feel the need to contact AMD. It's been there since forever.

About your issue...: http://www.amd.com/linuxreport

Hello Eydee,

Thanks a lot for link. I did not notice it ever before. I will post my feedback there.

Of course I know that this is  not a official support AMD forum but community one. But If I can see properly -> This suppose to be Linux support & Troubleshooting forum. In the linux community is pretty usual to triage and solve similar issues together on the forum. I tried to ask "uncle google" without significant success, before I´ve enterred the post in here.

I will update this thread once I ´ll receive feedback from AMD team. Might be useful for others.

They don't reply to issues gathered through the issue reporting form. If you need to talk to them, open a ticket.
