Having installed 14.1 today I stumbled those lines in dmesg:

[    6.916630] <6>[fglrx] IOMMU is enabled, CrossFire are not supported on this platform
[    6.916631] <6>[fglrx] Disable IOMMU in BIOS options or kernel boot parameters to support CF

I'm wondering, are there any experiences with CrossFire in linux? Just curious...

Probably not. Linux gaming is just beginning and there is still no game that requires a high-end card, not to mention CF.

However, asking around on the steam linux discussion board might help you find some people who play around with it.
