Bonjour,

I have a Dell laptop with amd radeon hd 8790m video card. I installed debian wheezy 7.5 and the card works.

I wanted to compile and install the amd proprietary linux driver and get the linux-amd-catalyst-14.4-rc-v1.0-apr17.zip package from AMD web site.

Compilation and installation reported no error, I run aticonfig --initial and rebooted the laptop and .... X-display failed!

I checked the Xorg.0.log and everything went correctly until this line:

[    17.092] (II) AMD Proprietary Linux Driver Version Identifier:14.10.2
[    17.092] (II) AMD Proprietary Linux Driver Release Identifier: UNSUPPORTED-14.10

Is there a driver version for this card which can be installed on debian distribution?

Thank you for attention
