I cannot enable Dual Graphics/CrossfireX!!!  Claims "Crossfire not support on this platform"!

I'm using the following:

Linux (SteamOS)

AMD A10-7850K Kaveri

Gigabyte R7 250 2GB DDR3 (Rev. 2)

8GB AMD R9 2.4GHZ DDR3

Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI

AMD 14.6 Catalyst BETA drivers

I've never been able to get Dual Radeon to work!!! Not even with earlier drivers! Please HELP. I'm at my wits end! I've had this combo for months and am getting nowhere!

lspci shows my VGA as an "Oland XT [Radeon HD 8670 / R7 250]" not a rebranded Cape Verde

Does it work under windows? Does it work under other distros? Do older drivers work under older other (officially supported) distros?

No, tested on ubuntu and fedora. I personally use Sabayon. SAME issue!!! I've got crossfire working perfectly on my HD6870s, on my desktop with the same distro. Its all gentoo. Sabayon= simplified gentoo.

After rotating through distros desperately, I stayed on my favorite (Sabayon). I dont even have Windows on this machine. But Ive checked online with other owners of the same setup and they can enable crossfire in windows 8 just fine using the same settings I am.

I've got another HDD lying around. I'll install win7 temporarily and see if it works.
