Good Evening People.......I plan on upgrading my cpu and motherboard this August. At the moment my desktop system is an ASRock A55M-HVS Socket FM1 motherboard with an AMD APU A8-3850 CPU. See below for the rest of my components.
I have narrowed my results to the following processors:
- AMD FX8120
- AMD FX6200
- AMD FX4170
- AMD A8-6600K
- AMD PhenomII 1075T
- Intel i5 2300
Because of it's age, the PhenomII 1075T is possibly out of the running, unless there is someone out there that can give me a good reason to embark on it.....over 2 years ago I purchased a new Dell desktop with a PhenomII 1055T, and it was a nice system.
The i5 2300 is "out-dated", so that may be out of the picture.
It is the FX cpu's I am thinking of. FX6200, FX8120, and FX4170. With the possiblility of the FX4350. By the way, I am not a gamer and do not plan on overclocking. If someone has a different idea(s) please add some advice. Though I am more towards the FX processors my mind can easily be swayed.
The motherboard will be the last thing I get, it is dependant on the processor I decide on. THANX !!!!!!! Jimmy
