It's been several years, and the HD 4800 served me well, but I think (after countless driver trials) that it is simply dying of old age.

I am looking for a replacement that need not do anything more than the HD 4800 and is simple to install.

My OS is Windows 7 64-bit. I don't think more information is necessary, as I am not exactly "reporting an issue".

Thank you all in advance!

Well without a whole lot of more info like specs of your system. Let us assume you have a 450W PSU a 7750 would be a nice replacement. Get you out your legacy drivers.

That is about the best that can be done with limited info. If you look at the Sticky Read Before Posting you will see what the User Forum requests for information.

+this, from a Dell support forum:

"LIke I said above, any video card which requires only one (or no) 6pin power connector will work just fine in the 435MT. If the video card requires two 6pin (or one 6pin and one 8pin) power connectors, it will not. I know this rule isn't technically oriented in regards to amperage on 12V rails, but it still works"

I also found out that the power supply is (a measly) 360 Watts...

7790 , 7770, 7750 , should all in theory work.  Assuming dell had a 4870/50 hooked up to the PC you had there.

If I were you though, I don't see why you wouldn't spend a few $ on a corsair 500W unit and pick up a 7870/50

Alternativly new AMD GPUs are supposedly dropping in the next week. So I'd wait.

I just read that 3.0 cards can be put in 2.0 slots, so I deleted the question that was here.
