currently my sapphire 5830 extreme is flickering so im going to upgrade, I have seen some 7850's for sale on newegg and tigerdirect for what seems to be a fair price any suggestions ?

pick up a 7870 if you can. Or if you can swing it a 7950. Those come with game bundles. too :-)

But I mean 120~150$ depending. I'd get a 2gb model at the least.

Vantharas,    Is the msi cards any good ? newegg has the msi 7870 for $169.00 are they good cards ?

Saw a forum member have enough repeated issues with MSI "customer support" to make me want to steer clear of them. It's a shame because it seems like MSI cards are always on sale. But I've never owned an MSI video card, personally.

I've never had an issue with any MSI product's I own , which is a 990X motherboard, and 1 7770.

You know what they say about MSI, it stands for Missing Some Intelligence, or Might Suddenly Implode...Stick with Sapphire if you can, it's also on sale for $169.99. The 270X is the same card for a little more money, but comes with a little higher stock clock, but the 7870 should have no issue reaching those speeds.
