seeing how amd has left me holding the bag by droping support for windows vista that has served me well  when i do my next new rig should i go intel/nvidia or risk amd droping support for what ever os i go with next . or maybe go back to XP that they still support on there newest chipset[a88x]  hard to go with a product that just through me under the bus.

why not drop support for all windows os except for 8.1 would that make it easyer on you? if you only had to do 1 driver for one os you may just get to  go home early on friday. or take a 2hr. lunch everyday.

ya thats just bad business. buyer beware. who's next?

I've never understood why people cling to Vista...  Of all the OS's in the past 10+ years it surely warranted skipping.  And if you did use it, it should have been ditched long ago.  Windows 7 is a great performer, still supported and is a million times better than Vista.

Vista was a great OS to replace Windows XP, provided you didn't try to run it on a 1.8ghz single core 512MB RAM machine that XP ran on. In fact we really have Vista to thank for getting the OEMs to actually start building decent off the shelf PCs. But I wonder, are you using 7 year old hardware (which would be the Radeon X1950, Athlon64 X2, and DDR2 800), or are you using a Intel i series or Phenom II/FX series, Radeon 5000 series/GTX 400 series or newer, and DDR3?

true, vista was buggy at first  but now it great,  my main gaming rig is on vista.  what games out today wount run on vista? bf4?  looked like vista was listed for it . if you were running vista with all the updates from bill  as of today  it works great. and yes fully supported by microsoft,  but the point i now make is that now i have a trust in brand issue here.  how can i buy amd with out thinking are they going to drop support on me twice? i cant give them that chance. whats next ? as of today the only compatabilty issue i found with vista is amd.  always have built amd but they through me to the curb.
