i was told by the shop i bought it from i could upgrade the processor when i bought it roughly 2years ago, could you explain why i cant upgrade please?

Sure I can it use's an FT1 BGA socket its soldered to the board, which you can't swap out. The shop lied to you.

Your link has the following blurb in it:-

Socket type: FT1 BGA

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

  • AMD E-350 (Zacate core)
  • Processor is soldered-down on the motherboard.
So the person who sold it was technically right, but you have to unweld it and solder on the new one. Mind you the blurb says it supports the following upgrade but it doesn't actually say what processor you currently have installed. But to be honest its so limited I doubt it would be worth the cost and effort to find a compatible upgrade, unweld etc etc
